WHO WE ARE
Mission:
People Connect is a voice for and by people with developmental disabilities promoting independence, empowerment, leading by example, communicating, networking and encouraging each other.
HOW TO JOIN
People Connect is always accepting new members! If you or someone you know would like to join People Connect, just stop by our monthly meeting and see if it is something that you enjoy. Meetings are held September-May on the first Monday of the month at 6:30pm. Our meetings are located at 931 Spa Rd Annapolis, MD 21401 in The Arc Central Chesapeake Region's office. If you would like to become a permanent member of People Connect, we kindly ask that you participate in paying the $3 monthly dues which are collected at the beginning of each meeting.
WHAT WE DO
Making our voices heard through assembly, knowledge of the issues and having
fun at the same time.
-Attend Day at the Legislature in Annapolis, Md.
-Attend People on the Go meetings
-Collect food for the Maryland Food Bank
-Make blankets for the Chrysalis House
-Invite persons who can help members learn how
to vote in election years
